Rev. Dylan Halter
Pastor
Dylan was born and raised in Ohio. In 2010, he joined the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Candidate and attended basic training and airborne school at Fort Benning, Georgia. After graduating from Airborne School, he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina to attend the Q-Course. In 2011, Dylan met his wife Megan in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2013, he graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course, earning his Green Beret. Shortly after graduation, Dylan and Megan were married and spent the first few years of their marriage in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Dylan served as a Senior Medical Sergeant (18D) and Intelligence Sergeant (18F) with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky for eight years. He was on a Military Free Fall Team and spent five combat deployments overseas. Dylan medically retired from the Army in 2021. Dylan became a Christian during his first deployment overseas. A fellow team member of his shared the Gospel with Dylan repeatedly. Through God’s sovereignty, Dylan had a real sense of his sin and need for Jesus. On August 2, 2014, Dylan gave his life to Christ. Shortly thereafter, Megan had a similar experience.
During his military service, he felt a call to ministry. While deploying and conducting training, Dylan completed his Bachelor of Science in Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University Online. In his last two years in the military, he began taking classes online at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and attended in person beginning in In December 2023, Dylan graduated from RTS with a Master of Divinity (MDiv). Shortly thereafter, Dylan and his family moved to Stuttgart, Germany where he is currently the senior pastor of Covenant Fellowship Church.
Dylan and Megan have three children and two dogs. They enjoy spending time outside together, playing sports, going to the park, and singing in the car. Dylan enjoys weightlifting, biking, the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, writing, and is currently enrolled at Edinburgh Theological Seminary in the MTh Research Programme, studying the works of John Colquhoun.
