Nathan is originally from Washington State in the USA, where he was raised in a Christian family. He was on staff with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) from 2016 to 2019. While with YWAM, Nathan met his now wife, Lea, and they both moved close to Lea’s home in Germany. Shortly after moving to Germany, Nathan became Reformed and Presbyterian in his theology, and in 2019 he and Lea found and became members of CFC. Sensing a call to pastoral ministry, Nathan served CFC as a pastoral intern (2020-2025) and as a Deacon (2022-2025) while studying at Edinburgh Theological Seminary from 2021 until his graduation in May 2025. He was ordained as Assistant Pastor of CFC on September 7, 2025.
