News & Announcements

Sunday Live Stream will be discontinued

november 28 2025

The Session decided that CFC will no longer be providing livestream for the service each Sunday. We believe that in our post-COVID environment, it is more essential for the body of Christ to attend service in person, rather than relying on the streaming service. The best way to commune with the saints is to be in the sanctuary of God. Hence, the author of Hebrews admonishes the Church, “not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (10:25).

We recognize that this has been beneficial to those who are unable to attend. Therefore, we encourage you that if you must stay home due to illness to consider listening to the previous sermon or the evening sermon on our SermonAudio page. Additionally, since you have access to the bulletin each week (via the website), you can still participate in private worship to sing Psalms/Hymns, confess the faith, confess sin, and pray.

Deacon Ordination and Installation Service

October 19 2025

The congregation gathered with joy and gratitude on Sunday, October 19, 2025, to witness a significant moment in the life of our church: the ordination and installation of Brother Marcel Fayard and Brother Arturo Eduardo Vargas Arias to the office of Deacon. With family, friends, and church members present, prayers were offered asking God to bless these men as they take up a ministry of compassion and support within the body of Christ.

Pastor Dylan Halter preached from Acts 6:1–7. His message focused on three essential characteristics of a servant of God:

  • Serve with Dignity: Being a good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom in every act of service.
  • Serve with Devotion: Remaining wholeheartedly committed to God and His people with steadfast love and faithfulness.
  • Serve with Diligence: Embracing the tasks of serving with a willing spirit and perseverance for the glory of God.

After the sermon, the ordained officers laid hands on Marcel and Arturo, praying for God’s empowering grace in their new roles. The congregation joyfully affirmed them, pledging to support and pray for their ongoing ministry.

We thank God for calling and equipping these faithful servants. May Marcel and Arturo find strength and encouragement as they serve to the glory of God and the good of His people.

Church Retreat 2026 (August 3-6)

We will have our annual CFC Church Retreat on August 3-6, 2026. Please book your calendar, make plan to join us and be edified. This year, we have another amazing and special guest, Pastor Matthew Everhard! He is an ordained Presbyterian minister, the pastor of Gospel Fellowship (PCA) just north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a Jonathan Edwards scholar. He also serves as adjunct professor of Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Current needs to serve

Some of you may be interested in serving but are unsure what areas need attention. Here are some suggestions and points of contact:

  1. Music Ministry – Shin Hwang
  2. Children’s Sunday School Teaching – Pastor Dylan, Sammy Rothfuss, Julius Ehmann
  3. Youth Sunday School Teaching – Pastor Dylan
  4. Adult Sunday School Teaching – Any church officer
  5. Nursery/Cry Room – Any church officer
  6. A/V Team – Joel Rothfuss, Steven Sutanto

That’s six areas where we could use assistance! I’m sure there are more as well!

Child Protection Policy Committee Opening

We are forming a committee (for members only) to develop a CFC Child Protection Policy.  Our intent is to ensure we positively demonstrate the highest care for our covenant children and any visitors through a clear, biblical set of standards.  The PCA has encouraged the development and maintenance of child protection policies and standards throughout the denomination. Click here for more information. The Session has begun work toward this end and seeks to enlist congregational participation in policy development.  Please contact Pastor Dylan or Kirk Hunter for more information and to indicate interest.

Evangelism and Outreach

Interested in Evangelism? Everyone should be! Our evangelism team is planning an outreach event for some time in August. The plan is to meet over the next couple of weeks in between services to brainstorm ideas. If you are interested, please contact Michael Adams.
